Academic Success: Our article was among the most viewed papers in the Journal of Phytopathology
Ass. Prof. Dr. Mustafa Akbaba (Sivas Science and Technology University), Assoc. Prof. Dr. Kaan Hürkan (Iğdır University) and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Orkan Özkan (Istanbul Technical University) has achieved a significant success at the international level.
The article titled ‘Characterisation of causal agents of bacterial canker on apricot plantations and risk mapping using GIS in Aras Basin (Turkey)’, which is a joint work of our researchers, was among the most viewed articles in the Journal of Phytopathology published by Wiley publishing house, according to the data between 1 January 2023 - 31 December 2023, and managed to enter the top 10%.
In this study, the agents causing bacterial cancer disease in apricot plantations in the Aras Basin of Turkey were characterised and disease risk maps were created using Geographic Information Systems (GIS) technology.
The data obtained provided a scientific basis for regional disease management strategies and contributed to the support of sustainability in agricultural production.
This success reveals the high interest and appreciation of the qualified scientific studies carried out by our academicians on the international platform.
