From the Editor:
The policy of increasing production in agricultural products, which started with the green revolution, has been interrupted by the decrease in the number of areas that can be cultivated day by day, industrial-induced climate change causing a decrease in yield in agricultural plants and most importantly, the accelerated increase in human population. Considering that the world population will reach approximately 10 billion in 2050, it has become a necessity to produce more crops in decreasing agricultural areas and more efficient agricultural products in increasingly deteriorating climatic conditions. This situation increases the importance of agricultural biotechnology, which uses scientific tools and techniques such as genetic engineering, molecular markers, molecular diagnostic tools, tissue culture and genetic modification of living organisms, and makes this branch of science the most important science of today and the future.
